Halloween Goodies from Friends

It's one day before Halloween.

I wanted to share some goodies I received from friends.

Connie made this cute little coffin box using Dawn of the Dead stamp.

Looks like that skeleton is having a great time dancing!

She also made this card in a box. Connie I

like how you added a bat to the skeleton's hand..nice touch!

Oh and Connie...the coffee is great. I've been enjoying it for two days now.

She sent me a bag of Texas coffee. Its a mix of cinnamon, chocolate, and vanilla.

Makes the house smell like a coffee shop! Thank you!!!!

I also received this cute little owl/bat card from

Kathy. Love the pink and black!

Ornamental Pines with Decorative Dots

I made this card several weeks ago and forgot to post it.

Done with Ornamental Pines stamp set.

I punch the circle opening then ran the card front with decorative dots

embossing folder.

The pines were stamped on the inside with Mossy Meadow ink.

Ornament on the front done with Cherry Cobbler ink.

Also added some Cherry Cobbler ribbon.

The card didn't come out the way I wanted it to. Maybe

that is why I forgot to post it!

I may go back and try again, then maybe not!

So many stamps so little time!!!!

Mailable Monday # 83

I'm back with another Mailable Monday card for you.

This one couldn't be more clean and simple if it tried.

I used the new tree punch with paper from Trim the Tree paper pack.

I punched three trees using the designer paper. Then cut off the

tree trunks for all three.

Each one was then folded in half. The trees were glued

one side at a time using Tombo liquid glue.

I punched one more tree using Early Espresso cardstock. This time

I left the trunk on. The finished designer tree was then glued

to the base espresso tree.

Now I suppose you wouldn't think that a 3-d tree would

belong on Mailable Monday but since the tree does fold flat to go

in the envelope it works.

The greeting is from Many Merry Stars that is in the SU supplement.

Close up view showing the side of the finished tree.

Many Merry Stars Kit

Let me start by saying that I don't normally purchase craft kits.

That being said you will get an idea of how much I love the

new kit in the SU supplement. Its called

Many Merry Stars and comes with lots of stuff to

make some fun star decorations.

What first drew me to this kit was these wooden snowflakes.

Just loved the rustic look.

Other things in the kit as well were appealing to me.

There are many different embellishments that are included, and

the best part is that all the adhesive for the side panels of the stars are

already on! All I had to do was remove them and add the top and bottom star.

Kit also has die cut words to use. These are very well cut, and punch

out from the backing very easy. I was amazed!

I put one star together just using what was in the kit.

But you can use other embellishments you have on hand or even

do some stamping on them.

See the word wishes? It is done on gold glimmer paper. There

are even glimmer paper stars to put together.

With the different sizes, embellishments and ease of use I'm

very happy I broke down and ordered a kit!

Jingle Framelit Card

I wanted to play some more with the Little Letters Framelits dies.

I used Crumb Cake for the base card, and Trim

the Tree designer paper pack for the backing of the

letters. The rustic looking jingle bell I've had

in my craft stash for some time.

I attached that using some thin twine.

Not much going on this weekend.

I plan to get some more stamping done and try

to get a handle on the upstairs bedroom stamping area.

Since I had to move away from my wonderful craft room

I've been having trouble staying organized. Seems like

I can never find what I'm looking for.

I'll say one thing for this arrangement...since the room

is small (and the desk is even smaller) it does force me

to put things away as I'm finished with them. I guess that

is something!

Sketch Frenzy Friday SSF102414

So are you wondering where I've been all week?

I had a procedure done last Friday that didn't go as I

had hoped so its back to the doctor for me on Monday.

I haven't been in the mood to stamp all week.

So I decided it was time for me hop back to it,

just so my life would be somewhat normal again.

Lovely as a Tree used for this card.

I hope Stampin'Up! never retires this great tree stamp set. Just

love it!

Base card Crumb Cake, layers vanilla, and Mossy Meadow.

I used some pearls, a vintage button, Lost Lagoon ribbon, and All is

Calm washi tape to embellish the card. Also used Crumb Cake marker to

add some color to the tree trunks, and white gel pen for the snow.

Sketch Frenzy Friday SSF 101714

Time for another Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge!

My base card is 5x5 with Lost Lagoon cardstock.

Stamps: Traveler, Wetlands, and World Map.

Other things used: 2 1/2 circle punch, Lost Lagoon ribbon,

Moonlight designer paper, and scallop border punch.

I used Hello Honey, and Lost Lagoon ink to sponge the

color on the ship.

To see what the other designers have done with this sketch

I have a repeat of a procedure I had done at the end of August today. I'm praying that this time the

test will be complete and we can find out what is wrong with me.

I'll keep you posted.

Minion Card with Matching Curvy Keepsake Box

Since I posted the Grinch curvy keepsake box and matching card

yesterday I thought I would also share what my friend Kat sent to me.

Love the little Minion card!

With matching curvy keepsake box. How cute!

Kat also sent me this little Halloween treat bag filled with York peppermint candy.

Stuff to make the burlap bag was in a Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin'Up!

I'd like to say that the candy was still there but its gone.

(I could use some more)

It's the Grinch Curvy Keepsake Box

I had to make the Grinch on the curvy keepsake box.

I cut the box with Old Olive.

Eyes are 1/2 circle punch, and smallest circle from the Owl Builder punch.

Nose is modern label punch.

Eyebrows were just some rectangles I cut using Early Espresso cardstock.

Mouth hand drawn with Early Espresso marker.

Hat was made with Real Red cardstock and pennant punch.

Pom pom at top made with Boho punch.

Of course I had to make a card also.

Made the same way except I used 1 inch circle punch for the eyes.

I thought it would be funny to let the greeting read "be of good cheer" seeing

how the Grinch through most of the cartoon was rather grumpy.

Mailable Monday# 82

Back with another Christmas Mailable Monday card.

I used Lucky Stars embossing folder on the white base card.

Large star was cut with second largest star framelit. I embossed it

on Brushed Silver cardstock using pewter embossing powder.

Small star was cut using Hello Honey.

Greeting from All is Calm stamp set.

I attached the small star with a mini staple. Seeing how

it is in the center of the card it should mail okay with one first class stamp.

Sketch Frenzy Friday SSF101014

For today's sketch I used designer paper from the

Trim the Tree paper pack.

Who said stripes and polka dots don't go together?

Greeting from Great Greetings.

Base card white. Layers are done with Early Espresso.

I colored the ornament first with Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive,

and Night of Navy blendabilites.

After the ink was dry I used direct to paper using VersaMark ink

then added clear embossing powder and heat embossed.

I think it makes the colors pop even more.

The center was done using 1 inch and 1 1/4 inch circle punches. These

were popped over the center of the ornament.

I also used some rhinestones and a snowflake sequin.

Frame Art

My friend Kat went on a frame art binge at the beginning

of the year. Which I think was great seeing how she

sent me some of it for my birthday!

The letters in this one were made using Storybook Cricut cartridge.

This one has found a home in my craft room. Made with

square punches and create stamp set. Love all the warm blues!

The last one I have to say is my favorite!

Pumpkins made with different colors of cardstock using

oval punch. Some of them have been embossed with embossing folders.

The frame Kat used is perfect. Its nice and rustic looking. Goes

great with the pumpkins.

Big thanks for all my birthday goodies Kat!

Sun Flower Dress

New dress for my 5" baby.

Isn't she just sweet in this sunflower dress?

I guess I should be making she some winter clothes, but I thought

the sunflower was cute with the little lady bug button.

The hat also has a crocheted sunflower on it.

Mailable Monday # 81

Happy October! We had a cold weekend.

Stayed in the upper 40's on Saturday, and

didn't get much warmer on Sunday.

I'm so not ready for this!!!!

Card today features Festival of Trees.

Tree inked with Old Olive then I added some Mossy Meadow

just along one edge using a marker.

Did some second generation stamping to add some

interest to the design.

Tree toward the middle is popped, and garland added with Cherry Cobbler.

Sketch Frenzy Friday SFF100314

I really enjoyed this week's sketch.

I used Ornamental Pines stamp set.

The pine was inked with VersaMark then stamped

on brushed silver cardstock and embossed with

white embossing powder.

I used Old Olive, and Basic Gray blendabilites to

add the color to the pine needles, and branch.

Base card white, Old Olive layer was stamped with Hardwood

background stamp. White layer was embossed with delicate designs folder.

The pine cone was inked with Early Espresso then stamped on Crumb Cake.

After fussy cutting out the pine cone I bent it around the edges and attached

it to the bough with a pop dot.

Inside card has the greeting and a stamped image of the bough and pine cone.

Pics of Cherokee

Okay lets come up with a good caption for this picture!

I caught her making a face. LOL

Here is one without the face.

And this has to be my favorite picture of her laying in a sunbeam.

Love the shadows and light. She laying on the

kitchen rug. Typical cat style.

Halloween Card, and Birthday Gifts

My sister asked me a week ago to send her

a Halloween card.

This is what I came up with.

I used a scrap piece of cardstock and the 2" circle

punch to make a mask then I sponged the base card

with Crushed Curry ink.

The house was inked with Versamark on black cardstock

then embossed with white embossing powder.

The ground is just two layers of torn black cardstock.

I think she will like it.

How stinking cute is this? I forgot that I asked my friend Kat

to get this for my birthday way back in January. What a great

surprise to unwrap this. Love the little elephant holding the wine bottle.

Big thanks Kat!!!!

Hubby had a vase of beautiful roses sitting on a brand

new kitchen table and chairs when I came down for breakfast

yesterday morning.

I love the table and the bar stools makes it so much

easier for me to get up from since the knees are bad.

Skip was so nice and made me bacon, eggs, toast and coffee for

breakfast. What a great guy!
