Wedding Album by Kathleen

My crafty friend Kathleen made this for me last year. 

It is a wedding album for pics of John, and Emily. 

So beautifully made in Emily's wedding colors. 

Just finished putting all the photos in. Should have done

it sooner, but you know how it is......

Inside cover has the wedding invite info. 

There are so many fold outs for photos. I had to keep

ordering more prints as I was finding I didn't have enough to fill it! 

Just too cute! Love how once I got started it was so easy to fill up. 

As I said lots, and lots of fold outs. 

I got all the prints at 4x6 then just trimmed them down to fit, and

rounded the corners.

The tree photo is one of my favorites. Glad they had some of

them done in black, and white. 

Okay last one. Not going to show all the pages, as 

it would be a very long post!

Matchbox Suitcase with Mini Album

Little matchbox suitcase project I made for a swap with my

crafty friend Kathleen. 

This was a fun project to make! 

Inside the suitcase hides a little mini album. Made to match

of course. 

Mini album was made using a single sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 paper.

This was such a fun little project to make that I'm sure I'll be 

making some more. 

and here is a top view showing the handle. I added some chunky rhinestones to 

dress it up a bit. 

Raining this morning. Just what we need as the garden is drying out. 

Kids coming over today for a cookout. Suppose to clear up by this afternoon so

we should be able to grill without getting wet.

Waterfall Tag Album

Now this was a fun project! 

A waterfall tag album. I know I will making more of these as

I think they would make perfect gifts. 

This one was done in a coffee theme, and swapped with my crafty friend Kathleen. 

The base tag is heavy chipboard. Had to get hubby to help punch the hole in the top center. 

What would I do without him?

Inside view at some of the pages. 

Bottom side can be used for photos, and the top can be

used for journaling. 

This page has a small pocket. I added a few extra things

that can be used to embellish the photo pages. 

Last page. 

I went back after I took a photo of this, and added 

a wood flower to the last tab on the side. 

Close up view of the side tabs. I used some old scrabble tiles

embellishments.

I tied a cup and saucer charm to the ends of the ribbon. 

Speaking of ribbon I used seam binding, and crinkled it by getting it

wet then wadding up in my hand.

My first 8x8 Album

My first 8x8 album. Made this for a swap with Kathleen. 

She says I'm getting better with the album making, but I still

have my doubts. I'm nowhere near the beautiful ones she creates. 

First look at the inside cover. This album has many fold out pages. 

We are still looking at the inside cover. The page flips up, and out. 

Still the inside cover.  You can see on the right the 1st signature.

why they refer to these units as signatures. 

There is a tri-fold opening.

I made a starburst card to put on the page.

Wedding Album, and Cards from Friends

Happy Anniversary to me, and my hubby Joel. We have been

married for 37 years! WOW! 

Big thanks to Kathleen for making me this beautiful wedding album. 

You outdid yourself Kathleen! 

Lots of pages inside for photos and journaling. Hoping I get

time soon to fill it up. 

More beautiful pages. Love how so many open up. 

Did this one out of order. The photo above shows it open. This is how

it looks closed.

One Sheet Mini Purse Album

I made a mini purse album using one sheet

of 12x12 paper, along with some tags. 

The purse is held closed using a velcro dot.

Inside page. When the patterned paper is folded it

forms three pockets that holds decorated tags. There

is also enough room in each pocket to hold small items. 

Next pages. The center pocket is open at the top. The

other two pockets open at the side. 

Oops! This pic came out a bit blurry. 

And the last pages. I made this one

for my friend Kathleen. 

Paper pack used is called Dear Jane. I purchased it at Hobby Lobby. 

Going over to Betty's today and do some stamping. Now that the wedding

 

invites are finished I have to make the thank you cards.

Decorated Tin for Ceil

Safe to post this now as my friend Ceil received it as part of 

her birthday gift. The tin is the same size as an Altodis can. I got lucky

as I didn't have to paint this tin just left it silver. 

So you want to take a look inside? 

Sorry I didn't get a full shot of all the fold out, but here is a view

of the first three panels. 

Here is a view of the last three. I used Tim Hotlz dies for the tower. 

I also cut a piece of patterned paper for the inside bottom of the tin. 

So happy Ceil liked it! 

Yesterday I kept pretty busy. Organized the small spare bedroom. What 

a job that was....two hours later I hit the grocery store. We finally got 

to have a late breakfast at 1:30 pm. Whew! Also got on the recumbent bike for 1/2 an

hour. Skip had to run the snow thrower in the morning as we got 3 inches of snow. 

Is winter over yet?
