Beatles Trading Cards

Several weeks ago my son found me something cool at the 

Goodwill. 

He found a box with a ton of Beatles trading cards. 

Most of them are black and white photos. A few are in color. 

Knowing that his mom loves the Beatles he had to get them for me. 

I'm not sure what I plan to do with them at this point. 

I think I'll just enjoy looking at them. 

Tomorrow is the big surgery day. I'll be glad when its over, and I 

recover well. 

 

I did update the blog for this week ahead of time seeing how I won't

 

be able to do so in the hospital. I should be coming home on Wednesday, or Thursday.

Scarecrow and Birthday Cards

I wanted to post a picture of my latest Goodwill find. Isn't he not the cutest thing? 

Only cost 2 dollars for this happy scarecrow pitcher. I have him sitting on the corner of my kitchen counter. 

Seeing how my birthday is tomorrow I wanted to share some cards with you that I've received this month from my friend Kat. I think it was Kat's mission to support the post office as she sent me a birthday card everyday, along with a few packets of cards. WOW

Big thanks Kat you made my birthday fun. 

These are only a few of the cards. I have to take pictures of the rest of them.

Lilacs and Goodwill Find

Our lilac tree is in full bloom. Skip had to move it years ago as it was really close to the house and was covering up the gas meter. It was a really big tree. I'm happy to see that one of the replants made it and is growing just fine now. 

I got the grapevine vase at the Goodwill for 4 bucks. It was perfect for the lilacs. 

I wish the blog had smell-o-vision as they smell so good! Just two sprigs of the lilacs fills the entire kitchen with fragrance.

 

 

The last of the tulips are also blooming. These little purple ones look so nice with the angel.

Good Will Finds

I have been looking a very long time for a old Train case. I finally found one a few months ago while Goodwill Shopping with John. This one is in excellent condition. Cost 8 dollars.

 

 Inside view. It has a mirror and a tray. 

Now you might want to know what I intend to do with the train case now that I have one. 

Very simple. Going to alter it into a craft case. Going to use decoupage to cover the outside of the case. 

I'll post when it is finished. Won't be starting the project for a bit. Want to wait till it gets warm enough to do it outside on the deck.

Another great find glass wheat snack trays with matching cups. These came in a set of four. Since there were two sets I got one for me and one for Sarah. They were made by Federal Glass right here in Ohio back in the late 30's early 40's

Here is how the cup sits on the tray. Cost 4 dollars for a set of 4.
