Another Birthday Card
So I received another birthday RAK from Kat, so I'm counting this as my second birthday card. Me and Kat were joking yesterday about how she should have sent me a card everyday of the month. Since the birthday is the 30th that would have been a lot of b-day cards! She used one of the white crochet flowers I made her last year and dyed it to match the card. Cool!
She also made this telescope card for one of the groups challenges. Just love the colors! I've seen the telescope cards made but I've never seen one that was attached to a base card. They were always just cascading, so this is great!
Here you can see the open card fold out using brads. Big thanks Kat!

Doily Scraps
This card sort of evolved from scraps. I had this scallop circle Daffodil Delight flower on my desk for over a week now, and a scrap of brown ribbon that I thought wasn't long enough for anything. I decided I needed to clear the desk so it was now or never to put a card together.
I stamped the doily background with Pear Pizzazz on Very Vanilla cardstock. I stamped another doily using Cherry Cobbler. Cut half of that doily out and glued it on top of the pear one. I wanted to make the card more vintage so I spritzed it with Chocolate Chip marker using the spritzer tool. The flower was also spritzed with vanilla smooch spritz and the chocolate chip marker. Doily layer, and word was adhered with pop dots. Not entirely sure I'm happy with it, but the flower and ribbon is off my desk now:)

Angry Bird
Let me first say this is not my card idea. I CASED it from a smart stamper on Splitcoast. My friend Geoff's birthday is coming up and his wife Lisa told me he is into Angry Birds. So I made this card for him. On the inside I stamped "You're never to old to do Goofy stuff" Hope he likes the card.
Colors used: Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, white, black
Punches used: 1 3/4 circle punch, smaller eyes from Owl builder punch, window punch.
It was actually cold out yesterday. Not much sun, and breezy. Not ready for summer to be over!!! I know I'm in trouble when I have to start wearing my house shoes in the stamping studio.

First Birthday Card
I received this RAK from Kat on the 1st of September. Since the greeting is "Happy Birthday", and it is my B-Day this month, I told Kat I was counting this as a birthday card and not a RAK.
Stamp set Vintage Vogue used for the flowers. Love the warm colors. Thanks Kat!
I didn't get any stamping done yesterday. We were away at the family picnic most of the day. Thank goodness we got a picnic site with a roof, or we would have been very wet!!! The weather held out for about the first 3 hours, then we had some rain, then it would stop, then start up again. It did cool things off. We were all happy about that! Not much going on today. Going to be in the mid 60's so I'm thinking instead of cooking out....I'll make some spaghetti.

Sunflower Thanks
I love sunflowers, and I have to tell you I was a bit intimidated by the size of the new background stamp. I bought it anyway, and happy that I did! You don't have to use the entire image on your card. I inked half of the stamp with Daffodil Delight, and then used a sponge with Early Espresso ink to add color to the center and add depth to some of the petals. Word is from Hand-Penned Holidays. Base card Pear Pizzazz, layers done with Early Espresso, Tangerine Tango, and Very Vanilla. Added a vintage brad.
So we are off today to have a picnic with Skip's family. They do it every year at the same park. I think we may get rained out today. 60% chance of thunderstorms with rain.

Delicate Doilies Get Well
It was so hot yesterday. 95 in the shade. Didn't do much but stay inside. Stamped a little and read a book. Going to be hot again today, but we are going to get some thunder storms which of course is going to make it more humid than it already is.
Okay enough about the weather......
I love Early Espresso and Pear Pizzazz together. My new favorite color combo. At least this week. Stamp set used, Delicate Doilies, and Perfectly Penned. Other colors used, Regal Rose, Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pizzazz, and Espresso. I also used Designer Frames embossing folder. Wanted to make it stand out a bit more so I lightly sponged some Espresso ink over the raised image.

Hello Doily Birthday Card
Very simple card share for you today. I got a burst of energy yesterday so I cleaned the house, rode my bike, and weeded the garden. After that I was pretty tuckered out.
However....I did manage to make this very simple card. Base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 vanilla. Stamped Hello Doily background using Crumb Cake. Over the doily I stamped the flower from Inspired by Nature. The stamp was colored using More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, and Always Artichoke markers. Also used Four Frames stamp set. Bird colored with More Mustard and Chocolate Chip. Added some Chocolate Chip dotted ribbon, and some pearls.
