Coffee Sleeve Album

My friend Kathleen, and I just completed another swap.

This one was Valentine themed.

We did a coffee sleeve album. She received her swap yesterday so

I'm safe to post the album I made her.

Now Kathleen is very good at making albums with hinges. I

on the other hand am not, but I'm learning!

Here is the outside view of the album. Love how the spine turned out!

Inside view of the first sleeve. Used a paper pack I had

leftover from last year to create it.

The album holds 4 coffee sleeves.

I'll post the one Kathleen made me tomorrow.

It is awesome!

Air Dried Clay Heart Tag

Created this Valentine tag yesterday.

Just used things I already had on hand.

The tag is made with cream cardstock. I used two layers

as I knew the air dry modeling clay would be heavier.

Border was done using a punch. Tag was then stamped

with a background word stamp. After that I sponged the edges, and

added the row of buttons.

Formed a ball with some clay, rolled it out then used a heart shaped

cookie cutter.

After the clay was dry it was painted with red. Next I added some

glitter glue.

Wings were made using a Tim Holtz die.

Greeting is from SU!.

Added the key.

I also added a stand to the back so I can display the completed tag.

Dino Valentine

I bought this cute little dinosaur stamp set at Michael's.

As I don't normally go for cutesy stamps this set just

made me smile.

It also comes with a few framelits. Wish it came with

both dino's frames it only has the one to cut the girl dino.

More gloomy skies today. Wishing for some sunlight.

Hopefully by tomorrow.

Mailable Monday #238

This card is done using washi tape.

I have so much of the stuff that the drawer that holds it all is full!

Washi tape to me is like card stock, and fabric. You can never have enough.

Hard to pass up when they all come in such pretty colors, and patterns.

Card layer took a bit longer to create but I'm happy with the results,

and will be making more!

The Paris lady stamp is from Hero Arts. I found

her at Hollo's. Did the coloring with Prisma pencils.

Happy Monday, and I hope you have a great week!

From the Heart

Here is a quick and easy card. Took me a whole

3 minutes to make.

The large heart in the center was done with a stencil. Used

a sponge to just the edges to show the outline.

Greeting is a retired stamp from Stampin'Up

Added the ribbon knot at the top.

The pattern paper is from core'dinations.

It has a little bit of texture on the paper, so I had to

go over the greeting with a black marker on the spots

that didn't stamp clearly. Thank goodness for markers!

Surprise Candy Box

Another project we made on Sunday.

The box was made with a sheet of 6x6 paper.

The lid comes off to reveal....

a piece of candy inside.

The porcupines were stamped in black then

colored with prisma pencils.

Cute little project.

I'm still working on a Valentines swap with Kathleen.

Wish me luck as the second project we selected is a little tricky.

I'm hoping I can figure it out.

Stamping with the Girls

Had fun crafting with Emily, and Sarah yesterday.

This is a card Emily made John for Valentine's day.

While I have many heart punches the artist in her wouldn't let her

use them. She free hand cut the hearts. So pretty!

She made this one for her dad to give to her mom.

A tad larger than an A2 size card so we made a special envelope for it.

We got more snow last night, and it is still snowing. So pretty to watch knowing

I don't have to go out in it.

Valentine Explosion Card

Sarah, and Emily are coming over today. We will

be making Valentine projects.

This card is one of the things we will be making.

Thought the girls would like to make an explosion card.

Take a look at the inside.

I punched a heart border all the way around the paper.

Stamped the greeting in the middle then added two

hearts. Of course the card will also be filled

with heart shaped confetti.

Lots of snow. We had a wind storm last night, and it is

still snowing. Winter is here!

I See Many Presents....

While I was at Betty's on Friday I borrowed her

stamp set, and created this fun shaker birthday card.

The embossed bingo layer I've had in my stash for a long time.

Glad to be able to use up some of the stuff I have.

Made a large pot of vegetable soup this morning. I'm

planning on doing lots of crafting today!

Birthday Cards

Got to stamp with my friend Betty yesterday afternoon.

Working on some birthday cards, for an order.

Love this little mermaid! Would make a cute little girl card.

This one is trimmed with buttons.

Like all the different textures.

This one is just for fun!

The stamp set is a very old retired one from Stampinup.

The balloons, are made by Joelee's.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend. Here it will be

65 degrees with rain. What a January!

Valentine ATC

Made a few more artist trading cards. Theme for

these Valentine's day. Found the stamp set at Tuesday Morning

last week.

Of course I had to have it because it had a girl stamp in the set.

There was also a die cut set to match.

Here is a pic of the back of the die package. Lots of fun things to use.

and I couldn't resist getting this cat themed stack of

washi tape. Love it!

January ATC

Finished my January artist trading cards. Will

be putting those in the mail this week.

Snow is gone from yesterday. Getting into the

40's today. Such mixed up weather, but at least

it's not too cold. The weekend is suppose to be in the 50's,

and we may even hit 60. WOW! Of course with the warmer

temps we will have plenty of rain.

Going to hit Costco today, need to pick up a few things.

Hubby likes the samples they have out on Thursday.

While I'm out planning to stop by Michael's. I've

been waiting for their paper packs to go on sale.

I have 75 bucks in gift cards that I'm itching to spend.

Looking forward to tomorrow as I'll be heading over to Betty's to

do some crafting. I've been missing her dogs. They are so fun!

Retirement Card

Made this card for a friend who officially began

his retirement on Monday. Congrats Rick!

I used the American flag in the background to symbolize his

freedom from work.

Received some happy mail from a fellow card maker

Sue. This card is perfect for today as it is snowing.

Like how she did the inside of the card with

snowman pattern paper. Now why don't I ever think of

doing that?

Went out to a place called Slim and Chubby's last evening.

Had dinner with Rick, Betty, Barb, and Jimmy.

I ordered the grilled salmon. It was so good!

This is the first post I've made for the New Year.

Been keeping myself busy with a Valentine swap for

my friend Kathleen. Can't post any of it yet. Maybe in a few weeks I can post

it.

Hope everyone's year got off to a good start.

We have already had a death in our family. Hubby's aunt

Fran died on the 2nd. She was 84 years old, and such a sweet lady.

We expected her passing, as she had been going down hill for awhile.

Service for her will be this Saturday.

Rest in Peace Aunt Fran. Your family will miss you.
