Altered Paper Clips

Been working on some altered paper clips.

After visiting Hollo's Paper store I picked up some Graphic 45 sheets.

They are printed faux postage stamps. Very easy to cut out and use to make the clips.

I added some fibers between the front and back with the paper clip

sandwiched in the middle.

Closer view of the songbird stamps.

I also got a Mother Goose themed sheet.

I sandwiched bits of lace, and coffee dyed cheese cloth between

the front and back.

Added little bows. So loving how these turned out.

I made a little clutch using stamped and dyed onion skin paper.

Perfect for holding the clips. I need to make

another one to hold the Mother Goose ones.

Paper Clip Art

Made some paper clip art. Got the printable from Gi Kerr.

Love her stuff, and tutorials.

She does have a FB group called Happiness in Crafting.

Closer view of the clips. The holder wasn't big enough

to hold all the ones I made. Had to turn the bottom two hearts on the side.

Love how they turned out. Will be using these in junk journals, and

swaps. Would work well for pocket letters also.

Been in a funk the past two days. I'm forcing myself to do things,

but I really don't want to do anything. Moving through the days in a haze.

Must be the dog days of Summer. All the virus stuff is getting to me.

As of today at 6 pm all of Ohio is required to wear masks while out in public.

I'm hoping that will help control it. Anything is better than nothing.

Okay I'll stop for now. Don't want to depress my readers.

Jumbo Altered Spider Clip

Here is another fun altered paper clip.

I used a jumbo clip which is about 4 inches long.

The orange base was stamped with a spider web in black.

The large gold spider on a book is from a die pack that I got

at Micheal's by Recollections.

The little October 31st square is from a pattern paper pack I got at Tuesday Morning.

Spider charm was purchased at Hobby Lobby.

Love that spider!

One of a Kind Mermaid ATC

More happy mail this week.

These two pretty ATC were created by my crafty swap

buddy Kathi.

She wrote a note on the back, and said that the mermaid was inspired by

my blog.

It must have been from the jumbo altered paper clip I made.

In case you missed it here she is again.

Thanks Kathi! I just love being an inspiration to other crafters!

Tomorrow is the big day! Suppose to be 73, and sunny so

it should make for a wonderful outside reception.

This afternoon is the rehearsal, then out to

dinner with the combined families.

Big weekend! Hoping to be posting pics on Sunday.

Mermaid Altered Jumbo Clip

This project started off all because I

went to Hobby Lobby, and found this tail charm.

Of course I used a coupon on it so it wasn't as much.

I knew I had a mermaid stamp that would look good

on a jumbo paper clip.

Love how it turned out. The mermaid was

colored with a mix of glitter gel pens, and prisma pencils.

Well the yard sale is on Thursday. At this point I'll be

glad when it is over. Thank goodness John is coming over to help.

Large Seahorse Altered Clip

While I still had the Fishy Friends stamp set on my desk

I made a large altered paper clip.

The seahorse was stamped, colored then cut out.

I added some glossy accents to it, and while still wet sprinkled

it with fine glitter.

Closer look at the seahorse.

and still a little closer. Love how it turned out.

I found the seahorse charms at Michael's. Also the little

blue beads. They made me think of ocean colors.

Altered Paper Clips and Display Book

This little book was made for a paper clip swap.

You had to design altered paperclips, but you also had

to make a book to display them in.

Some of the inside pages.

Big Dreamer is a magnetic clip. I added

a little star charm too dangle off the oval.

Altered coffee themed clip. Pulled

out (and dusted off) some metal embellishments. You

can see it on the side held in place with a brad.

This clip is a bit wider, and shorter. Added

some beads to dangle at the bottom.

Hope my swap partner enjoys it.
