Fashion Ladies, and SNOW

This stamp is made by Hampton Art. The design

is Graphic 45 Fashionista.

Since I had gray cardstock all over my desk from the wedding invites

it made sense to use some of the scraps to make a card.

The silver mesh in the background I've had in my stash since forever.

Happy to be able to use it.

I also used some very fine silver thread on the back of the stamped image.

If you click on the photo to enlarge you may be able to see the thread.

As I said it is very fine.

The black bow was made with a die that my friend Kathleen sent me with

a swap we did. Thanks Kathleen!

and we got an early April fool's day joke. Woke up

to about 2 inches of snow on the ground. It is so pretty!

White, wet, and heavy. sticking to everything. Take a look at the

next door neighbor's fence

Good thing that tomorrow will be in the 50's so all that snow

will just melt away, and that's a good thing!

Go Cleveland Indians! Tomorrow is the home opener!

Easter Goodie Box from Kathleen

Wow it has been over a week since my last post.

So sorry to be away so long. I've been busy getting

wedding invites figured out. The bride did select one from the

samples I made so I'm working on those now. Wish I could post them,

but maybe after the announcements go out.

I received this awesome Easter box from Kathleen today. Packed

full of holiday goodies.

This is a photo of an altered egg carton she made. Isn't that bunny cute!!!!

Inside view. Love the lace going around the carton.

we both made bunny "butt" banners.

Bunny Butt Card

I had a few bunny "butts" left over from the banner

I posted earlier in the week, so I decided to make

a card.

Greeting by Tim Holtz.  Purple layer done with basket folder by Darice.

White oval done with square lattice folder.

Added a little gingham bow to the bunny's neck.

Well it is Spring, and the snow is gently falling this morning.

Great big white, fluffy flakes. I actually like

snow this time of the season. Pretty to look at, and

it will all melt. Shhhh don't tell my hubby I said that.

One for Each Hand

I made three cards yesterday stamping with my friend Betty.

Background was made using Distress Oxide inks.

The lady on the scale was stamped first, then masked

before I sponged on the ink.

She was later colored in with pencils.

You may see a theme going here. LOL

and the last one. Yup that is a balanced diet.

I remember anytime my mom gave my daughter Sarah a cookie

she had to give her two so she would have one for each hand.

Grandma's right?

Bunny Butt Banner

Okay here is something cute for Easter a Bunny Butt Banner!

I used different sized circle punches, and a oval punch to

create these cute little bunnies.

The clothes pins were covered with matching pattern paper.

Closer view of the bunnies. I mounted them on a embossed

oval die cut, then layered that on a scallop die. Added

some ribbon on each end, and the banner was ready to hang.

The little tails are a 1 inch pom-pom.

You can click the image to get a closer look.

Off to Betty's to do some stamping, and visit with her

dogs. Later I'll be heading off to the Optimist club meeting.

Busy day!

Topper for Notepad

I love this magnetic notepad that Kathleen

made me. So clever how she did it.

Here is a photo of just the topper. There is a slit across the bottom

that allows the topper to slide over the back of the notepad.

Here you can see me putting the topper back on the pad.

She added a strong magnetic strip to the back of the topper.

There was already a magnetic at the top of the notepad.

Back together and on my fridge. I'll try

to remember to make one. Would make a great little gift.

Kathleen also sent me this little wax melting pot.

Didn't have one so it was perfect for my stamping studio.

Thanks bunches!

CD Case Swap with Kathleen

Happy Monday.

Today I want to share a goodie box that my friend Kathleen sent to me.

Here is the CD case that she decorated.

So pretty. I like how she cut the little diamond shaped element,
and layered them together before placing on the heart.

Inside first page.

and the next pages. Not going to post the entire case, but it is
filled with goodies!

Wonderful pocket letter. All the projects were made using
Spring Bough paper pack from Michael's.

Back few of the goodies.

I love these stickers with matching washi tape! I'm seeing
them being used with my doll stamps.

Set of cards she made using a 6x6 One Sheet Wonder template. So
glad she sent me a copy of the template. I have lots of 6x6 paper that I
can use to make cards using the template.

and this card. We always include one card in our swaps with a note.
Great job Kathleen! Can't wait for the Easter swap!
I have a few more photos of other things she sent me. I'll post tomorrow.

Altered CD Case

Some time ago my friend Kathleen sent me a plastic

CD case. We were going to alter them for a swap.

Well we finally got to using them, and this is how I

altered mine.

We both used the same pack of paper from Michael's.

Name of the paper pack is Spring Bough.

Here is the first inside page.

I made a template to use for the outside cover of the sleeve.

Won't show you the whole book, but here is the next set of pages.

After adding goodies to the pocket the book was too stuffed to close.

I had to tie a string around it so it could be wrapped and shipped.

Of course after the goodies are taken out the case will close.

Back cover.

Kathleen received her book, and was thrilled with it.

I received a box of goodies from her yesterday, and will

take pics, and post tomorrow.

Tisket a Tasket I made a Little Basket

Isn't this a cute little basket?

Made with only a few pieces of cardstock.

For the bottom I ran the strips of cardstock with

a lattice embossing folder then sponged all the edges.

The handle is held in place with small brads.

Added the little bow, and rose.

Filled with some Easter grass for now. I think

I'll put some chocolate eggs in it.

We got a little bit of snow last night. Winter is not over!

Nest Egg Carton

It got up to 74 degrees here yesterday! WOW

What a gift that was. Of course when it gets that

warm this time of the year there is always rain right along with it.

I've been working on some Easter crafts.

This one was made with a egg carton.

I used Hey Chick (retired SU) to decorate the box.

The pink chicken nest on top I picked up at Pat Catan's when I was

there earlier in the week. They have most of their stuff at 10% off now.

All sales final. Still can't believe Catan's is closing.

Side view of the egg carton.

I used a wire fence folder to make the top then layered

a white doily before adding the nest.

Inside view.

Filled with pink chicks, and egg ornaments.

6x6 Easter Themed Pocket

I've been working on a few Easter themed crafts for an upcoming swap.

This cute little bunny tail tag was made with different punches.

Bunny embellishments also made from punches.

These embellishments are called flags. Used

some felt bunnies on them.

and this is the pocket I made to hold all those goodies.

Made with a 6x6 sheet of patterned paper.

Don't look at my desk. It is a mess. Pretty much stays that way

while I'm crafting. The only real time it gets cleaned is if I lose something, and

can't find it, or if company is coming.

ATC turned into cards with Cross Stitch Accents

Made this cute little puppy card while I

was stamping with Betty yesterday.

Isn't he cute?

You may remember the butterflies as I posted artist trading cards

a few days ago. I turned some of them into full size cards using

little cross stitched gems that Mary Ann made and sent to me.

Love the little sail boat.

little umbrella.

and a little gold fish hoping to grow up to be

a big fish one day.
