This card is from a Pink and Black card swap I did

with the Paper doll trading group from Facebook.

Made by Jennifer Babcock. Thanks Jennifer!

Love the card.

From the same group I also swaps a Valentine

themed ATC.

This was made by Phoebe McCain. Thanks

Phoebe. The trading card is darling.

I got some new doll stamps, so I'll be

stamping today. Be back tomorrow with photos

of my new toys!

Birthday Cards for Hubby

Just posting some of Skip's birthday cards.

This is the one I made for him. He liked

the scrabble tiles.

Card from his brother Pat.

Card Kat made. Love this!

Card Emily made for him. Like the metal look she got using silver gel pens.

Card from Sarah and Jason. The inside

reads so you've turned into a cat. LOL

Ice cream cake!

The birthday boy. We only put 6 candles on the cake.

We didn't want to melt it.

Happy Birthday to my Honey

Sending a happy birthday shout out to my hubby

Skip. He is turning 60 today!

The family is getting together for

spaghetti dinner. I'll post pics

tomorrow.

Friday we had record high temps. Got

up to 74!!! I went out walked, and took

photos of the flowers.

I have wild crocuses scattered throughout the front lawn.

The yellow ones are my favorite.

Another cluster of them.

Tulips.

More tulips.

Little wiggly worm taking a crawl across the back deck.

Then of course after Friday the sh** hit the fan,

and the temp dropped and we got some snow.

Didn't stick but it has been cold all weekend.

Good thing I'm making the nice spicy spaghetti for dinner!

Pinwheels, and Bunny Butt

Back again with that Spring theme flip bag I was working on earlier

in the week. I made some cute little things to put with it.

Check out the pinwheel. I used the same designer

paper that was used on the bag. I layered

the pinwheel on a doily then glued to a paper straw.

This started out to be just a bunny butt, but

I decided to make a entire back view of the bunny.

Made with circle, and oval punches. The little

teardrop that is on the bunny paws was done with

the tree builder punch.

I had to make a pinwheel to put on a paper clip too.

Love how all of this just goes together!

So it was 74 here yesterday. Can you believe that!

I went for a walk. Then sat on the back deck wearing a jeans and

a t-shirt, and got caught up on some phone calls.

Nice talking to all my gal pals!

Of course it all went to pot as the temp dropped,

and a snow and rain mix moved right in! Ah

the joys of living in Ohio. If you don't like the weather

just give it a few minutes as its bound to change.

I'm going to be busy making meatballs today.

Having the family over for a big spaghetti dinner tomorrow

to celebrate hubby's birthday. Thank goodness

Sarah is taking care of the cake. One less thing for me to do.

Music and Paris Themed Flip Bag

Here is a flip bag I made for my friend Ceil.

She received it yesterday so it is okay to post it now.

I started with a plain white bag, and folded up the bottom to

make the pocket. Next step was to add some designer paper,

just to pretty it up a bit.

the panel was embossed with a Paris embossing folder.

then I stamped, and cut out the crazy birds so they

could sit on the chairs. Sorry the embossed chairs did

photograph well.

Little notebook with the same theme.

birdcage clip.

So this was pretty fun to make. I tell you the

flip bag are really addicting!

Bunny on my Flip Bag

So I'm working on Spring theme flip bag for a swap I joined.

Here is the un-filled bag. I have to work on things to stuff it with.

I used different punches to make the bunny. The arms I

had to fussy cut.

Stampin'Up! Punches used:

Ears-large, and small oval

Head-ornament

Muzzle-1/2 inch circle

Eyes-leaf from bird builder

Hind legs-butterfly

Body was cut using SU oval framlits

Nose is circle from the punch pack

For the arms I punched a large oval piece then

just trimmed it till it looked like arms.

Black marker used to make the face lines.

Used a white gel pen to add highlights to the eyes.

And I also used a rose colored pencil to blush the cheeks.

I debated with myself on if I should put a bunny on the front

since this is a Spring themed swap and not an Easter swap,

but when I think of Spring I think bunnies! And this cute

little fellow is sitting in a field of flowers, and flowers say

Spring.....right?

Irish Lassie Tag

I was playing around last night with this little Irish lassie.

The top hat was hand cut to size to

fit on top of her red locks.

The rest of the tag was just thrown together

with what I had on hand.

I stopped at Marks yesterday to pick up some milk

and look what I found. 3d stickers by Jolee's. Only

33 cents each. Can't beat that. These will be great to

put in flip bags, and to give as swaps. The ones

in the back are balloons.

And also while I was out I did some shopping at

Hobby Lobby. Found these great words to use with my

dolls, and a stamp set all on clearance. Gotta love that!

Mailable Monday #183

I decided I needed to make

a collage card. Like the shabby chic look.

Speaking of shabby chic. The name of the

stamp set I used is Shabby Chic Too. Made by

See D-s.

Used different distress inks by Tim Holtz.

After I did the stamping, embossing, and layering I

thought the card needed something at the bottom, so

I sponged a white doily with yellow ink and adhered

to the bottom of the card.

Yesterday we had another warm and sunny day. I took a

walk around the neighborhood. Skip spent the afternoon

with his mom. Took her out to KFC. She loves their chicken.

Next Sunday he will bring her over to celebrate Skip's 60th birthday.

Going to make him a large pot of spaghetti and meatballs.

Sarah is going to get him an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.

Should be a fun day with the family.

Flower Card, and New Stamping Tool

Happy Sunday!

Happy day for people in Ohio.

We broke record temps yesterday. High

was 69. WOW! It was so nice to go outside

without a coat.

Got outside and walked around the lake and just soaked in the sun.

Also went to Micheal's and bought something cool.

Today's card was mad with different stamps from Stampin'Up!

Here is an inside view of the card. I used a Tim Holtz thinlit to make the layer.

And now for the cool thing I bought. Which I also used to make today's card.

Stamp Perfect by Hampton Art.

It was 24.99, but I used a 40% off coupon.

I've been waiting for another company to come out with this since

MISTI came out. I really wanted that tool, but didn't want to pay the 100 dollar

price tag. This one from Hampton Art works great! Going to

have such fun using this tool.

So more warm weather for us today....really today I'm going to

get out and clean out the front flower bed....I'm not going to be in my

stamping studio all day.....no really.....

Mama's Day Stamp Set

This sweet card was made using Mama's Day stamp set.

Really getting into this scaled down sets by JN. They

were designed to be used in planners, but

I love using them on cards.

So we had snow this week. Now its melted, and

the weatherman delivered happy news that this weekend

and this coming week will be in the 50's plus range. How

cool is that. I'm thinking about getting out today or

tomorrow, and cleaning up the front flower bed. Take

that February!

St. Paddy's Day JN Tag from Kathleen

I received a really cool package from from crafty

friend Kathleen yesterday.

We swapped JN St. Paddy's day tags.

Love the girl in the ruffled dress. She added some lace to the bottom

of the dress.

Check out the cute little dog wearing the green!

She also send a whole bunch of "green" goodies.

The card is just darling!

Rosettes!

Decorated filed folder filled with die cuts.

Lovely charms.

Flowers, buttons, and ribbon.

Tags to color!

She also colored this card. Sweet!

Thanks so much Kathleen. You spoil me, and I love it!

Tommy the Paper Boy

Meet Tommy.

Tommy is a paper boy but has a strong desire to become

a reporter.

He has to learn how to type so he can turn in his reports.

His family doesn't have a typewriter, but while at the

news office he finds an old typewriter in the backroom.

Each day he gets up early so he tap, tap, tap on the type writer

before going on his paper route.

Well I hope you enjoyed this little story. I had fun making

this cute boy tag.

This is a tag I got from Ronnie. We are on Swap It FB page, and

were partners for the Valentine tag swap. She told

me that this is the first JN doll that she made. Really cute for

someone who just got started.

She also made this really cute card.

We got a little bit of snow yesterday, but it wasn't much.

This weekend we will be in the 50's. So happy about that!

Ready for winter to be over!

Toby had a problem with his Model Plane

Meet Toby.

This is the first little boy tag I made, and

was trying to tell a story with it.

You see Toby got a model plane set for

his birthday.

He was having a little trouble putting it together.

Toby was suppose to follow the instruction sheet

carefully, but he didn't and ended up making a pinwheel.

He put the pinwheel on the back wheel of

his bike, and tried to hide the propeller behind his back.

Ah boys, (and men) never follow the directions.

I think he turned out really cute.

I added a stand to the back of the tag, so

he can be displayed.
