Shabby Chic Collage Stickers

I got some confetti colored stickers from Hollo's last week,

and used them to make some shabby chic collage embellishments.

I thought I could use them for cards, or

envelope seals.

Planning on making some Christmas theme ones.

To get started I used a doily stencil with  brown ink.

Then I just started randomly stamping with vintage looking stamps

using different ink colors

This is only half the sheet of stickers. I cut it in half so I wouldn't

be overwhelmed with all that blank space.

Here is another card I made using the finished stickers.

Fun to make these sheets. Perfect for when I don't know what to make,

and just want to do some collage work.

Christmas in July Themed Matchbox Embellishment

Remember the chicken embellishment matchbox I

posted last week? Well I'm back with a Christmas

in July themed one.

The little mason jar is a shaker, and has little

gingerbread men inside of it.

Inside view of embellishments.

Like the chicken one I made this for a swap.

Happy with how it turned out. These boxes are

pretty easy to make only tricky part is gluing

in the dividers.

Clear Pencil Cases for Embellishment

I made a Dollar Tree run yesterday afternoon.

In the back to school section I

found these clear plastic pencil cases, and

thought they would be great to hold some

embellishments.

They had many different colors, but I only

purchased the gray, and pink ones.

I purchased 8, and I may just go back for a few more.

Instead of getting a binder to put them in

I opted for large split rings to hold

them together.

For now they are hanging from the back of my

sewing chair, but I'm sure I'll get them up on a hook

under one of my wall shelves.

Going to be another sizzling day for us.

I'd like to go to Tuesday Morning today to

see if they have Halloween stuff in. With

these hot weather days I'm thinking about Fall!

Flower Pot from Kathleen

Look what I received in the mail yesterday from my crafting

buddy Kathleen.

This is a loaded flower pot.

Side view. The pot was made with a sheet of 12x12 paper.

A gusset was made with the side of the pot that allowed

it to be curved to fit the bottom piece.

and look at all the goodies inside! Cards, rosettes, tags, and

embellishments. How fun!

Thanks Kathleen!

Eggs or Tic-Tac's.

I remember making these tic-tac boxes using

a snowman on the cover. Thought that I could

use a chicken, and see "the eggs" through the circle opening.

I think it came out super cute!

Here is what it looks like when the cover is opened.

I'm thinking my swap partner will be happy to see this in her box

along with all the other "chicken" themed stuff I've been creating.

Mini Matchbox Embellishment Boxes

These are the covers to a matchbox.

Thought they would be great for a swap. Want to see

the inside?

The drawer pulls out and has dividers.

I filled each compartment with crafting goodies.

Best of all these matchboxes are made using just one

sheet of 12x2 paper.

Happy with how they turned out.

I'm posting the you tube video link just in case

my readers would like to make one. Super easy.

Coop-Cake Anyone?

Coop-Cake anyone?

I'm still playing with the chicken set I borrowed from

my friend Betty.

I used Hexagon Hive thinlit to make the gray layer.

The chickens are stamped with Jet Black ink, and water colored.

I have one more project in mind to use with the chickens before

I give back the stamp set.

Didn't do much yesterday. While hubby was at the gym working

out I stayed at home, and did some much needed housework.

Not that I wanted to, but since it was so hot over the last few days the

things I normally do didn't get done. Thankfully we had some

rain that helped with the humidity, and dropped the temps into the

70's. So much nicer!

I did get some weeding done in the front flower bed. With all the rain yesterday

morning the bed was nice, and moist which made the weeds easy to pull.

Today I'm off to Khol's to spend my Khol Bucks. Need new sheets

for the bed, so I'll see what I can find.

Spring Chicken Card

Back with another chicken card.

Hello Spring Chicken!

Will make a great birthday card for someone.

Still hot here today. We are suppose to

get some relief on Tuesday.

All I can say is I'm very thankful to hubby

for putting in the central air last year.

Coming in handy!

I've been staying indoors doing some crafting,

and working on the yard sale we are having in August.

Speaking of August John, and Emily's wedding is just

around the corner. Summer is flying by.

Snowman Pop Out Card

So here we are in the middle of a heat wave.

Only one thing to do....make snowman cards!

That will cool things down. Right?

Are you ready to see the inside?

SURPRISE!

It is a snowman pop out!

This cute fellow is holding a banner that reads

LUV U

Love his mittens, and happy face.

There are three buttons going down his front, but

the U in the banner is covering the middle button.

Me and hubby went to the Strongsville Home Coming Fair last night

to see the fireworks. They were awesome! We got a really good spot to

watch them. We also had a mother Earth heat lightening show.

Chicken Cards

It was so hot yesterday....how hot was it?

Hotter than Georgia asphalt.

Anyway I spent the afternoon with my friend Betty.

We did some stamping.

Made some chicken cards. Stamp set by Art Impressions.

Stamped on white base card then water colored.  Added some

bakers twine at the bottom.

This chick is also from the same set.

Did some layering with a Spellbinders die. Chick

is water colored. I must have been in a mood to color yesterday.

John is coming over sometime today.

Of course he wants salmon patties. I'm planning

on staying in today, and crafting. Going to be 95. HOT!

Paper Tassels

I've been playing around with making paper tassels.

Since I have fringe scissors the cutting for the fringe part

goes really quickly.

Closer look at the two larger tassels.

I added beads, at the top, and wrapped some lace around

the base of the bottom bead.

I also added beads to the tops of the smaller

tassels. On the bottom parts I added some gold ribbon,

and silver fringed ribbon to the blue tassel.

They were finished with a lobster claw finding at the top.

This way they can easily be attached to a project, or

journal.

Going to be another hot one here today. I'm thinking about making snowmen!

Oui

Okay now I may be carrying the Paris theme of my craft space

with empty yogurt glasses a bit to far. LOL

I have been meaning to try this oui brand of yogurt. Since

it was on sale at Marc's last week I gave it a whirl, and I like it! Nice

and fluffy. Tastes smooth, and silky.

Really like that the containers are glass. Great to store things in.

On the side view you can see that I've filled these with

strings of pearls.

Wasn't sure how to pronounce the yogurt's name. I always thought

it was pronounced WE in French. Here is a video I found on You Tube.

Not pronounced the way I thought.

Envelope Book with Embellishments.

This is an envelope book.

Used acetate to make the cover. I was surprised that

acetate scores pretty easy. Did it on my score board.

The inside envelopes I made using the envelope punch board.

The four envelopes are held in the book with twine. Can't

see the twine from the inside. It only shows on the outside cover.

Inside each envelope there are handmade embellishments. Bows in this one.

Mini banners in this one. I used pop dots on the back of

each banner. I added glue to the back of the paper backed dot then

attached to the cardstock. This way the person who receives it can remove

them to use.

Flower in this envelope. Made with a scallop punch, and lace.

and the last one has two tags with butterflies.

Each of the card pieces to hold the embellishments

were embossed first with different folders.

Saying a prayer for Nathan Jackson as he had

to get a port put in yesterday, so he can start chemo.

Hang in there Nathan. You were a tough, and sweet little boy when

I first knew you in SC, and you still are. Also sending thoughts, prayers and

hugs, to his mom. A very dear friend of mine Marianne.

New York ATC

Just playing around yesterday afternoon with

some artist trading cards.

Wasn't really in the mood to do anything, but forced myself to

get something created.

I got a emboss it clear dabber at Catan's. It is pretty cool.

You just dab on the  embossing ink wherever you want it

then heat emboss. I used clear powder for these cards.

Me and hubby went to the drive in last night saw Toy Story 4, and the

new Spider Man movie. Didn't get home till after 2 this morning!

Toy Story was just as funny, and endearing as the other movies where.

Laughed a lot, and I cried at the end.

Spider Man was awesome! Hubby didn't care for it as much, but I loved it!

Pattern Paper Flower Pot

This project was a little bit different. Has

the same concept as a loaded bag, but instead

of decorating a plain bag, you create a flower pot to

hold goodies in.

Closer look at the rosette flowers that decorate the front of the pot.

And here is a back view. I made a small pocket that attaches to the back.

Needed a little more room to hold embellishments.

side view.

You can see how the paper curves to form the flower pot.

The pot was made with a sheet of 12x12 pattern paper. The

rim the runs around the entire pot was made with cardstock.

Going to be another hot day! I'll be staying nice and cool in the

house, and will be working on the upcoming garage sale.

Women with Attitudes ATC

Made some artist trading cards featuring women with attitudes.

All colored with Prisma pencils. Backgrounds done with stencils, and

washi tape.

Closer view. I did use a paper straw to embellish at the bottom.

Due to shipping though I flattened the straw so it wouldn't be so bulky.

Love this one. See how the women is looking at the statement. Don't cross a woman.

This one has the best use of the all the different washi tapes. At

least I think so.

All created for a swap I joined.

Went to Tuesday Morning yesterday. Found a few goodies for the stamping chateau.

Sometimes you can find pretty good craft supplies there for a great price.

Today I need to finish working on hems for John's pants. I don't think he

has ever bought a pair of pants that I didn't need to hem. Good thing he has

mom that will still fix them for him. While I'm working on sewing I might

as well do some other things that are in need of mending.

More Photos of the Little Party for Em

One of the things we did on Sunday was practice with the bustle

on Em's wedding dress.

Love the photo of mom, and daughter.

Also love that the bride to be always wears mismatched socks.

How fun!

From the left, Sarah, Caitlyn, Emily, and Anne.

I was bad, and did some shopping with Betty on Tuesday at Catan's.

picked up just a few more things. Sorry but I put everything away

this time without taking a photo first. Lets just say it was more than

the last photo I posted of my Catan's haul.

Yesterday I drove up to Joann's and got a few more things. I'm

working on getting things I know I will be using for the craft fairs I

plan to take part in. Not this holiday season, but for next year.

I've already started working on stuff to sell at my table.

Bride to Be Banner

Bride to be banner that I made for Emily's party on Sunday.

Closer view. I used a large alphabet stamp set for the

lettering. Added some white, and gold paper doilies. Then

added some flower embellishments.

Emily with her Here Comes the Bride message cookie.

I think I surprised her. Look at the smile! She always takes a great photo.

Got the cookie from Giant Eagle. They do a great job with the message cookies.

and one more photo of the girls working on their shadow shaker boxes.
