Watercolor Flowers

Sorry I have not posted all week.

This cold has stuck around, and just making me tired.

I finally got up some energy today, and I made this card.

Did some water coloring on water color paper.

Used Tim Holtz Flower Blossoms stamps.

Here are the colors of distress ink I used.

Not sure the card is finished yet. I didn't

use a greeting on the front, but I can add that later, or

just leave it blank to be used as a note card.

Not sure what I'll be doing with the rest of my day.

Really need to get caught up on correspondence, and

housework. Neither one is jumping right out and saying

do it now. Think I'll still rest more this afternoon. Maybe doing some

reading.

St. Patrick's Day Card

Since I had some panels left from the sheet of St. Patrick's

day paper I made this card.

No stamping, just some layering, and embellishments.

This cold is really kicking my butt. I spent last night

in the recliner.  Every time I tried to lay down

I had a coughing fit.

Hoping the cold will break soon.

Suppose to be in the 40's today, and sunny. Thinking

I'm going to sit in a sunbeam, and read.

Altered Tin

Well it is Thursday, and I'm still sick.

My voice is so raspy I sound like Patrica Neil. (Walton's The Homecoming)

Anyway...here is an altered Altoids tin I made.

This one is for a St. Patrick's Day swap I joined.

and here is the inside.

The kids came on a sheet of patterned paper by Authentique.

I may make some cards out of the rest of the sheet.

If I don't start feeling better soon I won't be doing any crafting.

Umbrella, and Polar Bear ATC

I joined an artist trading card swap with the

theme being umbrellas, and polar bears.

You had to make one with the standard size

3 1/2 x 2 1/2, and the other using

a 2 1/2 circle.

The umbrella I used watercolor paper.

I first misted with a little water. Next I added a few

drops of dye based re-inkers. Lastly I blew the ink

around using a straw. The umbrella man is a Tim Holtz

stamp that came in the package called "Muse"

The greeting I used was also in the set.

and here is the polar bear circle.

I used the same technique to create the blues for the sky.

The bears were stamped on shimmery white cardstock then cut.

Did some shading with a blender pen, and inks.

I wanted the bears to be looking up at a star so

I punched out two stars and glued a piece of wire

between them. Then the wire was sandwiched in between

two circles. I also added some white mica flakes around

the bottom of the bears for the snow.

Hope my swap partner enjoys them.

I'm still sick. It started on Monday with a scratchy throat. Now

it is a full blown cold. JOY!!!!!!

Mailable Monday #235

I haven't posted a Mailable Monday card in a long time.

The Mickey, and Minnie cards were made

for the students that helped with the

pancake breakfast on Saturday.

Very simple using different punches to create the head, and

ears. Hearts punches to make the bows.

It may be mailable Monday, but since it is Presidents  Day

the mail won't be running today.

Just posting a few more pics of the Pancake Breakfast event.

Brunswick High NHS kids wore the costumes.

Members of the Optimist club in the kitchen making the pancakes,

and sausage.

Face painting.

Even hubby was working!

Snowing today. I'm sick of winter, and I'm so over being cold!!!!!!!

Spring can't come soon enough!

Her stitched cards are always so fun!

I'm exhausted and may sleep for a few days.

Me and hubby helped with the Optimist club

pancake breakfast, and kids fair this morning.

I'll post more photos later, but

Well my awesome crafty friend Kathleen spoiled me again

with an awesome Valentine swap.

Packed with all types of goodies to create with!

I'll be back tomorrow with the rest of the box contents....

February Artist Trading with Matching Card

Here is another project I was working on the other day.

Needed to make February artist trading cards for the swap

group, and thought a matching card would be perfect to send them in.

The tag was first colored with distress crayons. I then

inked up the woman stamp with Jet Black StazOn ink and stamped

over the crayons.

and I wanted the artist trading cards to be a different shape

instead of using the 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 size.

So the the pink base started out than size, but I used a punch to create

the tag shape on one end. Added and eyelet to that, and used some fun fibers.

See that little woman stamp? Got that at Joann's. It came with a Simply Card & Papercraft

magazine. They had 4 different Ranger stamps, and stencils with the magazine. Since

I love Ranger products I couldn't pass it up.

Sending thoughts, and prayers to my dear friend Marianne. She

told me yesterday that her mom is in the process of passing.

Love you Marianne!

Heartful of Birthday Wishes

Not sure where I was going with this, but here it is.

Started by stamping the lower half of a Julie Nutting prima

doll on the card.

Added color to the legs, shoes and arms with prisma pencils.

Next I punched out a ton of little hearts, and glued them

to the dress. I used pop dots for the top layer.

Closer view. Added a few rhinestone just for fun.

Not sure if I love the card. I may go back revisit it, and try again.

Today I'll be heading over to Betty's to get some stamping done. I need

to work on the February artist trading card swap.

Home and Garden Show 2019

Me and hubby went to the Home and Garden show this week.

The theme for the event is fairy tales.

First pic is of a dragon. Can't have a fairy tale without

a dragon!

Tower with Rapunzel. I like how they

did the hair with string lights.

The wolf dressed as grandma.

They had the little pigs houses set up in a circle.

  Brick house.

The tree was telling the story. Little creepy if you ask me.

I think a 2 or 3 year old would have been scared by it.

Speaking of creepy....lots of gnomes.

Of course all the displays had beautiful flowers around them.

Hansel and Gretel best be careful of the house next to this

display.

Witches house.

Snow white, and the seven dwarfs house.

Sorry the pic is a little blurry. They had wood cut outs of Snow White, and the dwarfs.

Bunny from Alice in Wonderland.

Hat of the Mad Hatter. I think they should have done a better

job with the table. It really needed to be set for the tea party.

Not sure what this is, but I thought it was cool.

Oh and look they had live acts for the show. We saw several little mice running around the place.

Took lots of photos, but I think this is all I'm going to share for today.

It went from 60 yesterday to 20 last night. Lots of wind, rain, and cold today.

What a difference a day makes.
