Hi all you happy stamping buddies! We have a winner for the blog candy. Big Congrats to Joyce!

Here is her comment

Congratulations, Karen! I've been watching you on your journey and want you to know that I'm SO proud of what you've accomplished!

Joyce email me your snail mail address and I'll get your candy out to you: clar42ie@aol.com

Had weigh in today. Didn't lose, but I didn't gain either. Which is a good thing. Me and hubby just got back from a long bike ride. It's just so wonderful to be able to do things with Skip that I know he likes to do. 18 pounds away from me mini goal.

Only 6 more working days till my vacation. I'm so looking forward to it. I have so many stamping projects lined up. Of course I'll be posting them all here!

Brownies.....When Your Watching Your Weight?....

You bet you can bake your brownies and even eat some to without guilt. I discovered a new way to make brownies without using all the bad for you oil. Now just a word of warning before you read any further......as this recipe is not for the weak at heart. If you can just get past the thought of what is being used in the brownie I know you can make them to and enjoy them as they are so good. They even fooled my hubby which is a very hard thing to do.

1 box brownie mix

1 can black beans

1 egg white

Drain and rinse the black beans. Also rinse the can they came in. Put the rinsed beans

back into the can and fill up to the top with water. Empty the beans/water into a food

processor or blender and blend well. You don't want to have any full size beans in the batter.

Add the pureed beans to the brownie mix add the egg white. Stir about 40 stokes.

Spray 13x9x2 pan with non stick spray add the batter. Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 for 25 minutes. Let cool and enjoy them!!!! You can also if you like shake powdered sugar on top.

Now go ahead....I dare you to try them. You can see by the picture that my family has been enjoying them. If you are on Weight Watchers and are counting points these are 1 point per piece.
Just stop going EWWWWWW they really are good! LOL
Had weigh in today lost another pound. YAY. My short term goal is to lose 20 by the end of August. I have a good start. I've lost 2 towards that goal only 18 more to go.
Blog Candy being posted on Saturday. Stop back for a chance to win.

Another Graduate

My brother youngest son graduated from High School last night. We were all feeling the loss of my brother. Neil has plans to go to school and become a chef. Big congrats Neil. I know your dad would have been very proud of you as you walked across the stage.
Next picture is proud mom Cheryl and Neil's older brother Corbet taken outside there house.

He's having his party this coming Sunday. Now I just have to get busy and make his card. YIKES! I haven't made one yet. Least I know now the school colors are red.

I had to share this pic with you. Skip took it at Mike's party this weekend. This is my don't take any more pictures of me look. Now hubby loves this picture and my daugther Sarah just saw it and wants me to make her a copy for her desk. Go figure. I guess this captures the real me. LOL Priceless!

ONEDERLAND!!!!!

I MADE IT!

It's been since forever since I posted to my blog. Just been too busy. Been working lots of overtime at work and just really needed to step back and give up some things in order to do the things that I really needed to keep up with. First and foremost myself. Do you ever feel like you are giving so much of your time to your family, and other things that you don't take the time to just do for you? Well that is how I was feeling. I want my readers to know that I'm still on Weight Watchers though I have to admit I did go one week where I decided not to renew my membership. Then I had a wake up call as I got on the scale and gained three pounds. No way was I willing to give up all that I had worked for during the past year just to gain weight back. So back on the plan I went and at last week's weigh in I made it!!!! I am under 200 pounds. I'm actually at 198, and it feels so good!!!!

Over the weekend we went to our nephew's graduation party and family members that had not seen me before I started to lose were amazed at how much I've lost. A total of 75 pounds in one year. One person told me that she didn't know who I was until after she saw me with my hubby. That was a great shot in the arm for my confidence level.
The picture is from that graduation party. Big congrats Michael!!! He's the tall one in the back row. Don't have to tell you which one is me.....or do I?
It's good to be back blogging again. Stay tuned as I'll be posting more Blog Candy this weekend.
