New Years Eve ATC

I received this cute New Years ATC yesterday

from Angela.

Super cute! This is the first time I've seen

someone put lace all around the edges. Great idea.

The pocket that she made to hold the card was also

a wonderful idea!

Thanks Angela.

We got several inches of snow. Skip had to run

the snow thrower yesterday.

Brrrr its been cold! But hey I can't really

expect anything else for this time of year.

So I  just made a big pot of ham and potato soup

and did some crafting. Can yo believe I made

a Valentine's day card! I'll post that tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year's Eve.

Be careful out there!!!

New Year's Prima Doll Tag

Here is the tag I came up with for

New Years.

Features Audrey prima doll  by Julie Nutting.

The clock face is from a vintage paper pack I had.

I backed it with a spider web from Stampin'Up.

I thought it made the clock look Gothic.

The dress is trimmed with shimmery black cardstock.

The trim is some that I had bought at Hobby Lobby. The pearls

going down the center of it were ready attached. Makes a nice shawl.

I made a clip art piece to attach to the lower part of the tag.

Then added some silver gears to match the wrapping

paper I used on the base of the tag. That's right I used

everyday wrapping paper on the tag. I got that from Micheal's for

.50 on clearance. Thought it would be perfect for a New Years tag

as it was covered with different clocks, and watches.

The snow started last night. It was really coming down.

So I woke up to a winter wonder land!

Tag, ATC, and more Gifts

Signed up for a snowman tag with Swappers corner.

I used the ink-a-dink-a-do Rudolph set. And...

I signed up for a snowman ATC. I did the same design for both.

Like the snowman with the turquoise cardstock.

Kat made me this nifty card organizer for Christmas.

Inside view. After filling in the names and occasions on the months

I attached them to each pocket. Thanks Kat!

Another favorite gift I received was this awesome Jamie Fraser calendar.

Hubba, hubba! Can't wait for season three of Outlander to start.

Like how Kat did two photos on some of the months.

Just gives me more of Jamie to enjoy.

Christmas Cards from Friends

I received some cute card sets from friends.

This adorable gingerbread set was made by Lisa.

Great job Lisa. Thanks!

The elegant star set made by Connie.

So beautiful. Thanks Connie!

I forgot to post this cute elf gift bag that

Emily made for my gift.

I just love her drawings. She is so talented.

Speaking of Emily she came over for a visit yesterday, and

we all went to Applebee's for dinner. We both love their 4 cheese mac,

and cheese. I was craving pasta yesterday so it was perfect.

The tree is down and put away. Guess the holidays are over.

Always a let down putting away the tree.

I'm still in shock over Carrie Fisher passing away. So sad, as

she was still young. RIP Princess.

Ornaments

I'm back today with more goodies I received.

For today's post I've grouped all the new ornaments.

The sparkly elephant is from Lisa. Love him!

Sailor hat from Marianne. Skip really liked this one. I did to

just adorable!

Santa is made using the flat part of the mason jar lid.

And the burlap wreath made using the rings of a mason jar lid.

Both made by Kat. They are great!

Snowman hat made by Connie. So cute!

Thanks ladies!

I went to Michael's this afternoon and managed to

drop 42.00 dollars on just Christmas clearance items.

Got lots of supplies to use for next year's flipbags, pocket letters,

and other swaps. So I feel I got a great start.

It was freaky warm yesterday. Got up into the 60's.

I went out and took a long walk through the neighborhood.

So nice getting out in the fresh air.

Tomorrow I think I'll start taking down the tree.

Mailable Monday #178

Today is a special addition of Mailable Monday.

Both cards I'm posting where hand drawn and colored by

Emily.

The reindeer card she gave to Sarah and Jason. I

had to take a photo of it before Sarah took it home with her.

On a side note John said that the deer looked a little

radioactive. LOL. I think it looks fab!

and I love, love, love the beautiful snowflake

card she made me and Skip.

She said she never drew a snowflake before.

Hard to believe as this snowflake is perfect!

Since I received so many wonderful gifts from friends this

season I'm going to post a few each day.

This stitched snowmen notebook was made

by Marianne. It is so sweet!!!! Don't

they look fun skating around.

She also made me a cork memo board for the fridge.

Another fab project!

She even made her gift tags.

Thanks Marianne and Emily.

Oh I also forgot to take a photo of the wonderful

gift bag Emily designed. I'll post that tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Don't forget that the US Post Office has today off for Christmas, so

don't check your mailboxes.

I'll be taking a drive out to Michaels today. I got gift cards

from the kids and they are burning a hole in my pocket!

Merry Christmas 2016

We had a wonderful day with our family.

The kids came over we exchanged gifts then

went to the Royal Chinese buffet.

Sarah was thrilled with her Once Upon a Time

Wedding scrap book.

And we were all thrilled that the Browns finally

won a game. Its a Christmas Miracle!

I told Sarah I have plenty of paper, and embellishments left so

we can add to the book if there are photos that she would

like to keep in it.

Big hug for mom she was in tears.

I also gave her the family flip book that I made earlier during

the class I took at the library. I gave her that one first, then I gave her

another box to open and she goes there is no way a gift is going to

top the family book...I just smiled and said I can top it.

Another tradition we have is lottery tickets. Skip got a bunch of

them and we all had fun with them. There were a few 2.00 winners.

Maybe next year someone will hit it big!

At the time I'm writing this The Christmas Story is playing on TBS.

So I'll just say Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Merry Christmas

Christmas ATC

I received some fun Christmas ATC's this month

and wanted to share them.

Snowman in hot cocoa by Sue.

Tree by Jennifer

Little girl trimming the tree by Carolyn.

Tree by Kathi.

I thought this one was cool as it opens up.

Here is an open view.

Not sure who made this one as she didn't sign the back.

Polar Bear by Julie.

This one was from our November swap, but

I wanted to share her as I think mama polar bear baking

is just to darn cute!

Happy Birthday to my sweet dear Mother in Law Katie.

Our family will be heading out this afternoon to the Chinese Buffet for dinner.

Later we will be doing our gift exchange.

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Bumble in a Snow Globe

The Bumble is from the Ink-a-dink-do set

that I used on the gift tags I posted yesterday.

Just adore him! Super cute.

I knew right away that I wanted to use him

in a snow globe.

Base card is white, layer and globe is

Tempting Turquoise. The base

of the globe is Chocolate Chip cardstock.

I thought he came together pretty well.

So today is Christmas Eve, Eve.

Skip has the day off. Not sure of our plans.

I may venture out and shop a bit. Getting

cabin fever. Wish my cold would be over already.

Its not getting worse, but it is nagging me.

Hope everyone has a great day, and enjoy

the magical season.

Rudolph Tags

I made these tags for the family gifts this year.

Love Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer!

And Sam the snowman is so cute!

I used some glitter glue on the trees.

Made a total of 10 tags.

Special thanks to my friend Kat who sent

this stamp set to me. From Ink-a-dink-a-doo.

This tag I made for Emily. She colored the gingerbread

girl and tree last week when she was helping me to

color with the primsa pencils. I just cut them out and

turned them into the tag.

More cards to share. This one was made by Ceil. So

pretty.

Can't give credit for this card as Skip got it at work, but

I liked it and thought I'd go ahead and post it.

Went to Hollo's yesterday and picked up a box of envelopes.

I'm giving away cards to family members on Christmas and needed

the envelops to go with them. I also picked up some white, and

cream cardstock. Also treated myself to some Graphic 45 designer paper.

Love that paper!

Christmas Cards from Friends

Just sharing a few cards that I've received

from friends.

This one was made by Marianne. Love the red suit!

Kathy made this one. It is really cool as

the upper layer folds back to expose some pine cones

and boughs on the bottom layer. I'm kicking myself

now because I didn't take of picture of that. Trust me

it is awesome!

Card from Amber. Thanks for thinking of me Amber.

Amber just moved to CA. Hope you are enjoying yourself there!

Lisa made this one. Cute stockings just waiting to be filled....

and for those of you who remember...last year I couldn't find

the family stockings to hang. Well I didn't find them this year either.

I think when the weather warms up I'm going to get hubby to

take a trek to the crawl space and go through all the boxes.

I'm thinking big yard sale!

A new friend Kathleen made this one. Just love it!

Reminds me of the Spirograph I had as a kid. So

elegant in white and gold.

Another new friend I met this year and is my birthday twin Cindy

made this one.

Thanks to all my friends who made beautiful cards and sent

them to me. You gals rock!

If you didn't see your card here I didn't forget about you!

Be back tomorrow to post a few more.

Baked the last batch of cookies yesterday afternoon.

Then I scoured the sink, scrubbed the stove, and swept the floor.

The kitchen really needed it!

Today is Winter Solstice. I've been hearing the humming for days now.

I must not be drawn to the standing stones...or should I run to them?

My Outlander friends will get the reference.
