Wedding Album, and Cards from Friends

Happy Anniversary to me, and my hubby Joel. We have been

married for 37 years! WOW!

Big thanks to Kathleen for making me this beautiful wedding album.

You outdid yourself Kathleen!

Lots of pages inside for photos and journaling. Hoping I get

time soon to fill it up.

More beautiful pages. Love how so many open up.

Did this one out of order. The photo above shows it open. This is how

it looks closed.

Just stunning!

and that page open.

Kathleen also made this very pretty anniversary card.

Speaking of cards my friend Lisa made this card for us.

Lisa, and her hubby Geoff share the same anniversary date.

Love the cats!

Thanks ladies!

Adventures in Stamping Convention 2019

Had great fun at Adventures in Stamping convention yesterday

with my friend Betty.

Saw lots of great ideas, and spent $$$ on new supplies.

I never really go to these events knowing what I want to buy.

I like Betty's thought on the subject.....We buy things we didn't

even know we need till we see them.

Took lots of photos

Like the city.

Great guy cards with the gears on the side.

Whole display of Freedom.

this is too dang cute. I'm thinking I can make that stove.

test tube boxes.

Love this little book. I know I can make one, and
I have a knob, and key I can use.

inside view of the book

Had to stop at the Tim Hotlz booth.

Loved this tag.

purses that can be used as gift card holders.

Stopped by Pat Hutoon's booth and made this cute card.

also made this chocolate nugget holder. The candy was soon eaten!

I didn't know I needed Glitter Kiss. Turns out I do.

They have many colors in metal, matte, and glitter.

I only bought the clear glitter one, but I think I'm going to be using it a lot!

The tag was made with a new product that I didn't get the name of

but Betty bought some. The embossing powder is laced with a bit of black

in each color. Gives a great effect on white, or darker cardstock.

I also didn't know I needed the Craft Mat. This mat is 15in x 18 in. Made from silicone.

Nothing is going to stick to it. I'll be able to clean up anything that gets on it, and

it is great for heat embossing.

Had to buy a few new things from Tim Holtz.

Bling!

More bling!

The only stamps I bought, and these two dresses were on clearance.

and I really didn't know I needed these till I saw them being demoed.

Love the name life changing blender brushes.

OMG these things are going to change my life every time I use a stencil, or

want to blend some inks together. More on these later. I'll be back with some samples.

Special thanks to my hubby for taking me and Betty out for coffee, and scones before

the show. We got there an hour before the show opened as I had the time wrong.

So he took us to a wonderful little coffee shop across from Knights Convention Center.

Large Washer Pendant

Back with another necklace.

This one was made with a very large washer that

I fished out of my hubby's stash of parts in the garage.

Covered it with patterned paper using Modge Podge.

Added the key, pearl button, and black pearls.

Cording was added using a larks head knot.

Raining today. I'm staying home to work on my craft room.

Still lots to do.

Heat Embossed Leaf Thank You Cards

Did some stamping with Betty yesterday.

I finished the Thank You cards for Emily's wedding.

They are simple, but elegant. I made 40 in one afternoon!

Betty also taught me how to make a necklace.

My first attempt.

I couldn't believe how many beads, findings, chains, and more she

has! Looking forward to doing some more beading.

One Sheet Mini Purse Album

I made a mini purse album using one sheet

of 12x12 paper, along with some tags.

The purse is held closed using a velcro dot.

Inside page. When the patterned paper is folded it

forms three pockets that holds decorated tags. There

is also enough room in each pocket to hold small items.

Next pages. The center pocket is open at the top. The

other two pockets open at the side.

Oops! This pic came out a bit blurry.

And the last pages. I made this one

for my friend Kathleen.

Paper pack used is called Dear Jane. I purchased it at Hobby Lobby.

Going over to Betty's today and do some stamping. Now that the wedding

invites are finished I have to make the thank you cards.

Mailable Monday #236

Happy Monday!

Haven't done a Mailable Monday card in a long while.

I designed these clean, and simple star cards to send out

for the Optimist youth appreciation event.

Some of the families I couldn't reach by phone so

I'll be mailing them the event info.

Theme of the event is "kids are stars".

We had a lovely Easter with our kids yesterday.

Emily received her box of wedding invites that I made.

And here they are. Not going to show the inside view

as it has all their info printed.

Lots of embossing going on!

Leaf was heat embossed with gold. The gray

layer was done with a leaf folder.

The white gate folded base card had to

be done on each end using a birch tree folder.

There is also some very fine gold thread under the white

leaf panel.

Let me tell you I'm so happy that I have a gemini electric embossing machine.

Made the work lots easier!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter!

My friend Betty sent me this beautiful card for Easter.

Love the brick wall with the butterflies!

The kids are coming over today for dinner.

Nothing fancy just ham, cheesy potatoes, and salad.

Hubby made shrimp, and the cocktail sauce to go with them.

I also have a raspberry cheese cake that my friend Eliz made for us.

Of course yesterday I made deviled eggs, cause you have to have those!

I also made a few pickled eggs in memory of my mother Gladys.

She made those every Easter. Of course hers will be better than mine

as she used beets she grew and canned from the garden to make them.

Hubby is still working on my room. He ran into a snag with the light. Something

messed up with the wiring that he had to fix. Hoping to start painting tomorrow.

Have a blessed day!

Bunny Butt Hoop

Look what I got in the mail yesterday from my friend Kym.

Isn't it cute! Love that little bunny butt!

This is called a loaded hoop. After

the embroidery hoop is decorated it is

filled with goodies. Thanks Kym. Love it!

I was so busy yesterday. Spent the morning and early afternoon

with my friend Liz. We were working on a upcoming Optimist event.

Youth Appreciation is  on May 15th. Lots to do.

Now that I have the wedding invitations finished I have

to finish all the star decorations for that event.

I will share a pic of the wedding invites, but I have to

give them to the bride to be on Sunday before I can post.

Off to a doctor's appt this morning, then hoping to stop by

and see my friend Betty, and maybe do a bit of shopping.

Washi Tape Wreath

Well here is something you don't see every day.

I used a very large embroidery hoop to hold

my many rolls of washi tape.

This will be hung in my new craft room when it gets finished.

Just added a small burlap bow at the top which can

be removed as needed to add or remove the rolls of tape.

This was the scene this morning when I got up.

We got just a trace of snow last night. Just enough to cover the grass.

The ground was still warm, so it meltied as soon as it hit the pavement.

Thanks Kym for this adorable lamb Easter card.

So cute!

I spent the weekend working on my craft room.

Trying to de-stash, and organize it better for the upcoming move.

Happy birthday to my nephew Corbet. Hope you are enjoying your day!

Mini Pocket Letter Vintage

Had fun crafting with my friend Betty yesterday.

I worked on, and completed this mini black, and white pocket letter for

a swap I joined.

I love the beads on the side. Gives the project some bling.

Just what us girls need.....bling!

Were were allowed to use just a touch of one color so I used

pink for the lips, and bow on the side bar.

I like how it turned out so much that I will be making another

one to put in my book.

Rained a lot yesterday morning. When I was driving to Betty's

I had to go on the side of the road to avoid a downed power line.

Today I'll be working in the craft room. I'm really de-junking.

The move to the upstairs is going to take lots of time after the

room is finished as I have so much stuff! Planning on having a

yard sale sometime in May.

Lots to do!

Easter Cards from Friends

Just sharing some Easter cards I received from my crafty friends.

This one is from Kathleen. Love that big "springy" flower!

Sweet little bunny card created by my friend Lisa.

Thanks ladies!

Well I'm not going to be a cave dweller for much longer.

I've decided to move my craft room from the lower level of

our split level home to the upper level.

Turning Sarah's old room into my craft/sewing room.

We got the carpet pulled out yesterday.

When Sarah was a teen we let her decorate her room, and

she painted this dark blue, and star border. It is going

to take two coats of primer to cover it.

So excited about the new space. I was getting tired

of being cold in the winter working out of my currant space.

And I'll have a window!!!! How cool is that!
