Envelope Punch Board Snowman

Well isn't he a happy fellow?

I got the pattern and directions from Jackie's video
He is very easy and fun to make using the envelope punch board.

Side view shows the snowman holds peppermint patties.

I have to go back to the doctor tomorrow for the 2nd of three shots for my knee.
The first one doesn't really show any improvement, but the last time I got the shots it was the 2nd one that I noticed less pain.

Geese, and Shopping

Lots of geese! We were out running around on Friday and found a ton of geese at the local Brunswick Lake.

Since Skip got himself an early Christmas gift (new digital camera) we were snapping pictures.

Of course his favorite subject is me. I wish he wouldn't take pictures. I can't stand getting my picture taken!

As you can see we have snow. The only Black Friday shopping we did was to go to Archivers.

I bought the Gift Bag punch board from We R Memory Makers.
I'll have samples to show you later in the week. Fun little toy!

Mailable Monday # 38

Another Mailable Monday quick and easy card for you.

I love one layer cards. So clean looking.

This one uses Lovely as a Tree.
I used scrap paper to mask off the area that I wanted to sponge.
Bottom of the section was sponged with Always Artichoke, top of the strip was sponged with Island Indigo.
Trees stamped with Early Espresso.

I smudged the greeting just a bit while stamping but covered it up with two leaves.

There are never any mistakes in stamping....just stamping opportunities.

Dress Up Framelit Pom Pom Card

My friend email me a card that she found online and requested that I make one for her.

Only more than happy to do so!

Very cute card for the holidays.

I think the pom poms I had on hand were a little bit bigger than on the card I cased.

Uses Dress Up framelits, Northern Flurry, and Delicate Designs embossing folders.

The only thing that I noticed after I had already mounted the dress is the greeting would have
looked better if it had been stamped a bit lower on the card.

Happy December 1st! Only 24 more days till Christmas!

Dress Up Time

Well here we are at the last day of November. Time is just speeding away.

I remember being young and thinking how long the days were and that I was never going to be old enough to do the things I wanted to do.
Think Mary Ellen Walton....."I'm going to be 13 forever!"
Yup that was me.
Funny how things change as you get older. Now I'm hoping time will slow down.

Today's card was made with Dress Up framelits. After cutting out the designer paper I sponged it with Calypso Coral. Background stamps are from Everything Eleanor. They were stamped with Soft Suede, and more Calypso Coral.
Layer vanilla, and base card Crumb Cake.

I did not go out today and do any Black Friday shopping. I'm staying nice and warm in my house. I'm busy getting boxes ready that I need to mail out of state. Also working on the Christmas cards that need to be mailed. I hope everyone had a wonderful Turkey day! I know I'm looking forward to leftovers!

Barbie Tree

I put up the Barbie tree. It has been up in the living room since the 3rd of November. Yes you heard me right. The 3rd of November.
I didn't put the Barbie tree up last year as we had our large tree up, so I just was in a mood and put it up early.
Looks so nice in the spot in front of the picture window.

Wedding Barbie (I'm ever hopeful!)

One of Ken ornaments. I only have two of them. The other one is in a different wedding set with Barbie

One of my favorites! Barbie and her house.

Mod Barbie

I've been collecting these Hallmark ornaments for the past 19 years. Last year was the last in the set.
However.....I did see that they started a new set this season. Since my tree is happily full I'm not going to collect the new ones.

Turkey Punch Art

Happy Gobble, Gobble!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Calories don't count today:)

Little turkey was made with the owl builder, and scallop oval punch.
Tail feathers were made with Day of Gratitude stamp set.
Greeting is from Tags 4 You.

Colors: Chocolate Chip, Crushed Curry, Crumb Cake, Vanilla, and Cherry Cobbler.

Close up view of the turkey.

I am making a turkey today with all the trimmings, but it will just be Skip, John, and me.
Sarah has other plans for the day.
I was going to invite other family members, but I'm not up to it.
I got my first gel shot yesterday. No change yet. It won't start feeling better till the second shot.
Ah the joys of arthritis!
