Leaf Napkin Folding

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Here is the napkin folding I did for this year's dinner.

Simple leaf  fold. I added the die cut leaves that were also embossed

using different folders. Thanks Emily for setting the table!

I have also been meaning to post this photo taken

at our local Starbucks.

Thought it was a wonderful idea to use different

pumpkins, and gourds for people to sign.

I spent yesterday putting up the tree. We still

have the outside lights to put up.

This month really flew by!

Don't get your Tinsel in a Tangle

Joy!

Let the shopping, and planning begin!

Made some of these up for a swap.

Colored the stamped image with Prisma Pencils.

Made three different designs from the same set.

I love the first one. "Don't get your Tinsel in a Tangle!"

Use a piece of tinsel under the words.

Middle design was colored with distress oxides.

Red Pick-Up

I bought a paper pad from the hot buy section at Michael's

called Christmas Farmhouse.

Was also lucky to find a matching stamp set for the pad.

Didn't know that Michael's had matching stamps for their

hot buy paper. What a find!

I stamped the truck with black on white cardstock then

colored with Prisma pencils.

The greeting was made on my dymo label maker.

Added some wink of Stella to the snow on the truck.

Going to be warmer today, but of course this time of the year

we normally get rain with the warmer air. Joy!

So I guess I better get out, and do some walking before it starts.

Christmas Cards from Saturday's Workshop

I made a few Christmas cards on Saturday too.

The background for this one was made by Emily.

It is one of the trees that she was playing around with and

decided she didn't like it.

I ran it through a falling snow embossing folder then

added the polar bears. I think it is adorable!

Another one I made. Used some punches and pattern paper

to create this happy little snowman.

Used negative image from the tree die to stencil

the green trees, then added a cream color tree with red cardinal.

and the last one. Anne also made a card like this one.

I think it was posted on Sunday.

Going to be raining today. I have

some more swaps to finish up. Just

about finished with all the Christmas swaps that will need to be mailed next week.

Stamping Afternoon with Anne and Emily

Had a wonderful afternoon stamping with Anne, and Emily.

Always fun to stamp with friends.

This is a card Emily made. Beautiful job on the aura. Tree is a die cut from Tim Hotz.

Everything else in the background was sketched by hand. Emily is so talented!

Another one of her creations. White tree on back card.

Dots, and noel done with white gel pen.

This is one of my favorites that Em made. Just a simplistic card, but

stunning.

Snow capped tree. She used the inner pieces of the die

that was cut with white cardstock to create the snowy boughs of the tree.

Anne had some fun creating this one.

We used the negative image of a die cut tree for the center of the card.

Backed it with green cardstock.

Looking forward to having the girls over for another crafting session.

Head Shots Stamp Set ATC

On Monday I stopped in at my new favorite store Tuesday Morning.

Middleburg Hts location.

Found a bunch of cute Christmas stamps ( I know, I know like I need

anymore of them!)

Also found this adorable girl stamp set by Stampendous!

Name of the set is Head Shots.

For the trading card I first stamped with black then colored with Prisma Pencils.

Next I did some layering with Tim Holtz stencils using my new brushes.

Here is a photo of the full stamp set. Good deal for just 3.99.

The girl with the beret hat reminds me of France. So I think next

time I use her I'll stamp the Eiffel tower also.

Pocket Hand Sanitizers Holder

Stopped at Bath and Body works last week. They had

the little pocket hand sanitizers on sale 5 for seven dollars.

I picked up a few, and made some holders to put them in for gift giving.

They fit perfectly in the little cardstock, and pattern paper box.

Added a little glitter tree on the front. Picked those up at Dollar Tree.

It is beginning to look like Christmas in my craft room!

Campbell Kids Mini Christmas Pocket Letter

Several years ago I picked up a box of Campbell's Kids cards.

They are perfect for artist trading cards as they are the same size.

I just added a few embellishments. Think this mini pocket letter

turned out cute!

I have a ton of these cards. There are different seasons, and

other designs on them. Planning on making a full size pocket letter

with them showing all the seasons.

Christmas has Arrived at the Mall

It was a bit cold to walk outside yesterday, so took

a trip to the mall.

They have it all decorated, and ready for Christmas.

Took this pic in front of Santa's corner.

This tree is a new addition. It sits on the lower

level by by food court. So tall it

comes up to the second level. Really stunning. Makes me

want to put our tree up, but hubby says it is too early. Ah the voice of reason.

He said we would get tired of it by Christmas. I don't think so. Could

leave my Barbie tree up all year if he'd let me!

Today I'll be busy making chicken parmesan.

John, and Emily

are stopping by for dinner, and this is a favorite for John.

First Snow of the Season

So this is what I woke up to this morning.

The first snow of the season!

While it did snow some yesterday the ground was too warm

for it to stick.

Snow covered cars.

It also covered my Fall leaf garland I have on the white picket fence.

Now watch, and see we won't have a white Christmas.

This also means that my car will be parked till Spring. Really

bummed about that!!!!!

Them Bones

Well since it is snowing today...yes you heard me right SNOWING!!!!!

I thought I'd post a few Halloween pics.

This is hubby putting away the decorations. He thought it would be

funny to pose with the skeleton.

And speaking of hubby he recently purchased a Mortal Combat arcade game

for his new man cave. Since I moved out of the lower

level he has the entire floor for his cave!

Anyway hubby put the skeleton in the chair playing the game.

This is what happens when you get obsessed with a video game. LOL

Emoji Pocket Letter

Don't ask me why, but I've been wanting to make an emoji

pocket letter for at least a year.

Stampin'Up had a color many moons ago called

Yo-Yo-Yellow. I had one sheet left, and thought

it made the perfect color for the cards.

They were embossed with a Sizzix folder called Smile

Emoji's. Found the set at Hobby Lobby when they were

on clearance. The folder also came with a set of die cuts.

See the little pile of poo in the bottom left corner.

That was made with one of the dies.

The winking face on the side bar is actually a coin

purse. Can't remember where I got it, but

I thought it looked great on this letter.

Vintage Lady Pocket Letter

I finished my vintage lady pocket letter.

Since I only had 4 of the larger ladies I put them

in each corner of the letter.

The remaining pockets are filled with pages

from the vintage Sears and Roebuck catalog.

I backed each one of the catalog pages with cardstock as

the catalog pages are pretty thin.

Of course I used a page from the corset department!

The images on those pages are colored with Prisma pencils.

I also added some tiny black and cream pearls.

Love the way this one turned out so much that

I will not be trading it. Going into my private collection!

How could I part with it? It is so me.

Another Lady ATC

Back with another lady.

I'm still using the same things to make as I did for the one

I posted yesterday. Image was stamped with VersaMark on

the Sears and Roebuck catalog page.

Embossed with black embossing powder then colored with Prisma pencils.

I used a white colored pencil to fill in the fur going around her neck.

Added a bit of wink of Stella to the edges of it.

These artist trading cards will go into a pocket letter that

I also finished. I'll be posting pics of that tomorrow.

More Hero Art Lady Stamps

I'm making more 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 cards for the pocket letter I'm working on.

Here is another lady stamp set by Hero Arts that I picked up

at Hollo's. Just love these ladies! Reminds me of the roaring 20's.

I swear I was born in the wrong era!

I first stamped the image with Veramark ink onto

a page torn from the 1902 Sears and Roebuck catalog.

Then the image was embossed with black embossing powder.

After that I colored the lady in with Prisma pencils.

The frame going around the lady is by Tim Hotlz. They

are called Industrious stickers. Found a package of them

at Tuesday Morning for 1.49. What a deal!

I edges were finished off with black soot distress ink.

Love how these ladies are turning out.

Hero Arts Fancy Hats Set

Earlier in the week I stopped at Hollo's paper store, and

found some great vintage lady stamps.

This four pack is from Hero Arts, and are one inch stamps

otherwise known to us stampers as inchies.

I created the artist trading card using assorted colors of distress ink.

The did a bit of stenciling, added the film strip, and other

ephemera. Love

how it turned out. I'm going to make a pocket letter using only

lady stamps. Don't think I'll be trading it though. Some stamping works of art

I do keep.

If you are in the area, and love stamps stop by Hollo's as they just got a "ton" of

stamps. These are from all different companies. Prices are good. Stop by, and you might

find some hidden treasures.

Painted File Folder by Kathleen

Happy November!

We made it though a very windy, rainy, snowy, and cold Halloween!

It started out at the beginning of the day being a nice 62. Sure

it was raining all day, but it was warm. Then around 4 pm the temps started to

drop like a rock! We didn't have as many trick or treaters as normal, but

we did have around 30 kids brave the weather.

Okay back to the project. This lovely painted file folder was made

my Kathleen. We did a swap a few days back.

Folder shown open. Both sides of the folder are decorated.

and the flip side. Love how the first section expands to

hold more goodies.

I'll be back tomorrow to share a few more things my crafty friend Kathleen

made for me.
