Library Filing Cabinet

Dear Hubby got this filing cabinet for me from a school that was throwing it away. I just love it! We had to remove the bars on the inside of the drawers to make them a usable size. It has 30 drawers and I'm ashamed to admit I've filled most of them. Punches, glitter, pearl ex, embossing powders, brads, buttons and more! I want to stamp images to use in the bookplates in the drawer fronts but I haven't decided what to stamp.

Hi Karen,

I have a set of these library index card cabinets sitting in my garage for over 2 years now, thinking the drawers are to small. But after seeing yours, I am inspired. After you took out the insides and rods, did you just put the knob back on? Thanks for the picture.

Janice we removed the bar (it is attached to the rod) The one we have the drawer front was attached by four screws. We took them off then hubby sawed off just the rod, so it left the nice knob on the drawer. Just had to put the front back on the drawer. It was time consuming but just so worth it!!! I couldn't have used it with the rod left in.
