Mailable Monday # 124

Well as I said before I couldn't put in my normal birthday order from

the Holiday mini, so I'm using other stamps.

Really love the trees from the new set Wonderland.

Then I remembered that I bought a Tim Holtz set

several years ago that had a tree in it that was

sort of on the same line. The set is called Reindeer flight.

I stamped the trees on a vanilla panel using black ink. The designer paper

is current its black from the neturals pack.

Greeting is from Snowflake Soiree.

I added just a few silver sequins.

One of my readers Cheryl placed a comment on Mailable Monday #123. She gave such a great tip

for mailing cards that I wanted to post it just in case you missed her comment. Thanks Cheryl!

For Gemstone cards for mailing...I run a 5 1/4 X 4 1/4 piece of Whisper White or Very Vanilla through the big shot in an embossing folder like Decorative Dots or Elegant Dots...When you mail, cover the front of the card with the Embossed piece of Whisper White and then when you insert in into the envelope, make sure the front of the card, is facing the back of the envelope. Always address the envelope BEFORE inserting the card! If you forget, the bumpy part is facing the back of the envelope and the back of the card is facing the front of the card. The front is a smooth surface, to write on if you forgot...also the Postal Meter won't catch on any gems or pearls and rip the envelope! The Postal Meter reads and stamps the front of mail only! Hope this helps! I mail no other way now!

Sarah came over for a visit yesterday afternoon. We took a little walk just a few houses down then

turned around and sat on the deck. It was such a beautiful day! She also brought me a

birthday gift. I'll take a pic and post it tomorrow.

I'm going this morning for my 2nd out patient PT appointment.

I had a better weekend with controlling my pain level, but I'm still having

trouble sleeping at night as I just can't get comfortable. Hoping that will get better

after the staples come out on Wednesday.

So glad you posted my hint for mailing...I am not the person who thought of it...it was passed on to me...so then I pass it on to you, and now you to others! This is what crafting is all about...a great number of fellow crafters helping each other out! I hope you leg feels better soon. Sleeping is tough, I had a friend who had knee replacement. She said the pillow under the knee and her pain meds are what helped her...hope that helps, OH she also said each day does get better! So glad you started the walking...Blessings to you and I will keep you in prayer.
